When following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, label reading becomes second nature. I buy 80% of our food from the outer aisles of the grocery store. Those inner aisles are tricky! The first thing I do when I pick up a box or container is flip it over and read the ingredients. I used to feel pretty safe in the outer aisles until I realized that “fresh” meat is notorious for added ingredients. Check it out for yourself the next time you go shopping.
